Cooper Electronic Technologies Announces New PowerStor Aerogel Capacitor

February 27, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Cooper Electronic Technologies (St. Louis, MO) recently announced the availability of its new PowerStor Aerogel Capacitor made from a carbon-aerogel-foam technology.

According to Cooper, these devices, also called electrochemical double-layer capacitors, are ultra-high capacitance devices that have 2,000 times the volumetric capacitance of standard aluminum electrolytic capacitors, as well as extremely low electric series resistance values, and ultra-low current leakage.

In quantities of 10,000, pricing for the PowerStor Aerogel Capacitor starts at $1.84 each, and comes in standard bulk packaging of 100 units per package.
