New Products Mar 03, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Conversion Devices Inc. (Huntington Beach, CA) introduced the SMD275 Series of single-output, medically approved power supplies, which offer a high-quality power source for the most demanding medical systems. The SMD275 Series features power-factor-correction for use in systems for worldwide applications.

The SMD275 single-output power supply is available in seven models with output voltages of 12Vdc, 15Vdc, 24Vdc, 28Vdc, 30Vdc, 36Vdc and 48Vdc. The devices can provide 200W of continuous power with convection cooling, or 275W power with 30cfm of forced-air cooling.

The SMD275 Series products meet worldwide medical safety requirements, including UL2601; CSA 22.2, No. 601.1; and EN60601; and feature power-factor-correction; a compact footprint; measurements of 5.0in x 7.5in x 1.75in; a 4.2W per cubic inch power density; remote sense; ac power fail; dc power good signals; and a 12V auxiliary fan output.

The SMD275 is priced at $249 in 100-piece quantities. Sample quantities are available from stock. For larger OEM quantities, allow six to eight weeks lead time for delivery.
