Cherokee Offers ERA -48V Backup Power Cabinets

New Products Oct 08, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Cherokee International LLC (Tustin, CA), a manufacturer of switch-mode power supplies, introduced its ERA outdoor and indoor -48V backup power cabinets for remote monitoring networks. The cabinets are suitable for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor requirements, including cellular and fixed radio networks. The new cabinets cover many different power requirements, from 680W to 4,000W. They are based on the standard ERA power platform, which offers maximum designed-in flexibility in terms of rectifiers, ac and dc distribution facilities, monitoring units, and batteries.

Cherokee's ERA platform has a proven reputation for high power density in 3,000W and 4,000W rectifiers, allowing space-saving and cost-saving redundant rectifier configurations to be specified to meet users' precise needs for power delivery and autonomy. Cabinet prototypes can be supplied in as little as two weeks, with delivery of production units in only eight weeks.
