Celestica Inc. (Toronto) announced its new QHS40 Series of quarter-brick converters measuring 2.28in x 1.45in x 0.4in that can deliver 40A, which is suitable for Internet infrastructure gear. The unit can replace existing half-brick converters, freeing up pc board space. The new series is available in three models, providing 1.2V, 1.8V and 2.5V. The converters have an efficiency of 87 percent at 1.8V.
The QHS40 is priced at $75 each on an annual purchase of 1,000 units.
