New Products Mar 08, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) released its new EA75 Series of 75 W (maximum) isolated, single-output, dc-dc converters. Thirty-five models are offered with nominal input voltages of 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 48 Vdc and 100 Vdc, and output voltages of 2.5 Vdc, 3.3 Vdc, 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 15 Vdc, 18 Vdc and 24 Vdc.

Based on patented technology for synchronous rectification and noise reduction, the EA75 Series is the result of several custom products that required high power density and low noise. The EA75 Series packs up to 75 W of power output in a 2 in x 2 in x 0.50 in metal case that offers six-sided shielding and an industry-standard pinout.

Highlights include high efficiency, output over-voltage protection, input under-voltage protection, 2:1 input-voltage range, six-sided shielding, soft-start, 1,500 Vdc input-to-output isolation, short-circuit protection, thermal protection, adjustable output, 300 µA off-state current, and output synchronous rectification.

Units are available four to six weeks ARO. Pricing for the EA75 Series starts at $79.20 each, with discounts available for larger quantities.
