APT Presents APL502 and APL602 Power MOSFETs

Advanced Power Technology Inc. (APT, Bend, OR) announced its new high-power linear MOSFETs, the APL502 and APL602, which have up to 30-percent-higher, forward-biased, safe operating area (FBSOA), and up to 40-percent-higher power dissipation capability than previously introduced linear MOSFET products, according to APT. The MOSFETs are suitable for electronic loads, linear regulators or Class A amplifiers.

The APL502 and APL602 devices are specifically designed to meet the requirements of linear applications and have twice the FBSOA capability of comparable switch-mode optimized MOSFETs. In addition, the 600V linear devices provide the headroom needed for 270Vdc aerospace applications, such as solid-state power controllers, that replace traditional electromechanical components in power switching and distribution systems.

The APL502 and APL602 linear MOSFETs will be available in TO-264, T-MAXä and ISOTOPâ (SOT-227) packages. Military screening and hermetic packaging options are also available. The APL502L (TO-264) is $28.70 and the APL602L (TO-264) is $29.63 for small 1,000-piece volumes. Samples in all plastic packages are available.
