AnalogicTech Offers AAT3119 Charge Pump Line

December 28, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech, Sunnyvale, CA), a developer of power management solutions, introduced the new AAT3119 fixed-frequency, high-efficiency charge pump. Optimized for battery-powered portable applications, the device can be used with ultra-small 1 µF capacitors at VIN and VOUT.

The AAT3119 produces current levels up to 150 mA and delivers 300 mA of pulsed current. The device eliminates the need for an inductor, requires only three small external capacitors, and is available in a compact eight-pin SC70JW package. Operating from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V input range, the AAT3119 is suitable for RGB and white LED backlighting applications in cellular phones, MP3 players, PDAs and other hand-held devices.

Rated over the –40 °C to +85 °C industrial temperature range, samples and production quantities of the AAT3119 are available now. Parts are offered in a compact eight-pin SC70JW package, and sell for $1.26 based on 1,000-unit quantities.
