ANADIGICS Offers AWM6430 WiMAX Power Amplifier Module

ANADIGICS Inc. (Warren, NJ), a supplier of wireless and broadband solutions, announced that it has received production orders for the new AWM6430 class AB InGaP HBT WiMAX power amplifier (PA) for fixed-point applications. In addition to fixed-point WiMAX solutions, the company is developing a complete portfolio of power amplifiers for 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz 802.16e mobile applications.

The new AWM6430 PA module measures 4.5 mm x 4.5 mm, provides an integrated step attenuator and output power detector, exhibits linearity with an error vector magnitude of less than 2.5% at 24 dBm, offers fully matched RF ports, operates from either a single 5 V or 6 V power supply, and is fully compatible with IEEE 802.16-2004 and ETSI EN301-021 standards and complies with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive.

The AWM6430 PA module is priced at $5.50 in quantities of 1,000 units. Samples of the AWM6430 are available now.
