Agile Systems Presents New MAX3020 Amplifier

Agile Systems Inc. (Waterloo, Canada) presented its new MAX3020, which combines two axis of digital servo amplifiers with DSP motion control, and serial network in the smallest form factor possible for distributed motion control applications. The MAX3000 is installed inside the machine and robot housing to reduce wiring up to 10 times.

Built around Agile's DigitalPOWER™ block technology the MAX3020 is a modular architecture that allows the user to preselect the voltage and current to match the desired motor requirements. A three-phase digitalPOWER™ block is 1.5in x 2in and will drive a single 400W brushless motor. The MAX3020 that is capable of driving two, 400W brushless motors is 3.5in x 4.1in and is smaller than most single-axis amplifiers.
