AECQ200 High-Performance Shielded Power Inductors

NIC Components has added the NPIS_LA series of automotive grade shielded power inductors. These shielded power inductors meet the requirements of AECQ200. Seven case sizes ranging from 3.0mm X 3.0mm to 8.0mm X 8.0mm (LxW) each with component heights from 1.0mm and 4.5mm. Inductance values range from 0.36uH to 470uH in ±20% (M) or ±30% (M) inductance tolerances. Isat current ratings range from 1.8A to 16.5A with an operating temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees C.

The NPIS_LA Series meets PB-Free reflow conditions up to 260 degrees C and is RoHS Compliant without exemptions, halogen free and REACH SVHC 169 compliant. Using an automatic assembly process makes ultra-small sizes possible while still allowing higher current ratings than conventional construction power inductors in the same size. Noise reduction is increased by use of its resin shielding material making these well-suited for today’s efficient dc-dc converters.

The NPIS_LA series meets the requirements of AECQ200 and suggested for use in automotive grade applications or where higher quality components may be required. Used together with NIC's automotive grade capacitors and resistors in provide the essential performance parameters for high-current dc-dc converters, in dash automotive applications, LED drivers and noise suppression applications from smaller to larger size factors.
