Absopulse Dual-Output, DC-DC Converter Delivers 80W In Railway And Other environments
Absopulse Electronics announced its new DCW 152R series – described as a rugged, dual-output, dc-dc converter designed for railway and other heavy-duty applications.
The 80W converter has two 12Vdc outputs that are independently regulated, floating and isolated from each other; that can be modified in a 5 to 24V range. The DCW 152R can be powered from a 24, 36, 48, 72 or 110Vdc input with standard EN 50155 supply voltage ranges. Other input and output configurations are available on request.
The DCW 152R is designed to meet the requirements of EN 50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock. It also meets EN 50121-3-2 (EMI and EMC) and EN 55022 Class B EMI. The unit features full electronic protection on the input and output, high efficiency and reliability.
The series is ruggedized and conformal coated for operation in demanding environments. Cooling is mainly by conduction via the base plate, assisted by convection cooling. The DCW 152R performs to full specification at temperatures from -25 to 55°C (Class T1).
The DCW 152R is priced in the US$173 range at quantities of 100, depending on the configuration.
