40W Medical Power Adapters offer Dual or Triple Outputs

Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower has launched the TMP60 series of medical-grade ac-dc desktop power adapters, which deliver up to 40W of dual to triple outputs power. Meeting CEC and Energy Star level IV requirements, the TMP60 power supplies (dual/triple output models) have an average efficiency 68-74% minimum and standby power consumption less than 0.5W. Earth leakage current on the TMP60 power adapters is 90 µA at 115Vac/60Hz or 150 µA at 230Vac/50 Hz typically. The units also meet RoHS requirements.

The TMP60 series is approved by UL, cUL and TUV to the latest EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1, CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 medical standards and to the latest EN/UL 60950-1 and CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1 ITE standards. It complies with IEC 60601-1-2 EMC standards including EN 55011/EN 55022/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, and more. The TMP60 series features dual- and triple-output configurations. The dual-output model offers +5V/+12V output voltages and the triple-output models offer output voltages of +3.3V/+5V/+12V, +5V/+12V/-12V, +5V/+15V/-15V, +5V/+24V/+12V

Enclosed in a 94V-1 rated polyphenylene-oxide case with dimensions of 2.95 x 5.79 x 1.65 inches, the units come with a 5-pin DIN plug as the standard output connector and an optional power switch. TRUMPower offers a variety of other connector options to meet customer’s specific needs.

With its 85- to 264-Vac wide input and an IEC 320/C14 ac inlet mating with different types of ac power cords, the power adapters can be used world-wide. The series comes with output overvoltage and overcurrent protections. The power supplies also contain an LED indicator. The units operate between 0- and +60-degrees C, with derating required starting at +40 degrees C linearly to 50% at +60 degrees C. The withstand voltage is 4000Vac from input to output, 1500Vac from input to ground, 500Vac from output to ground. The series has a calculated MTBF of 150,000 hours minimum at full load at 25 degrees C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F. Units are available from stock to 6 weeks ARO.
