330W, 2-Pole Brushless DC Slotless Motors Sustain up to 40000 RPM

Portescap announced the expansion of the Ultra EC™ range of brushless dc slotless motors with the introduction of the new 35ECS motor. This 2-pole motor offers ultra high speed and up to 330W, max continuous power. The new 35ECS motor is available in two lengths: the 35ECS60 (60mm) (See image above) and the 35ECS80 (80mm). The 35ECS60 and 35ECS80 motors feature the company's patented Ultra EC coil technology which provides unmatched torque and power density with limited core losses over a wide range of working speeds without friction & brush wear.

Potential applications for the motors include power hand tools, nut drivers, humanoid robots, vacuum pumps, industrial fans, and drills.

These motors feature Portescap's patented high-speed rotor design that enables the motor to sustain speeds up to 40,000 rpm. The 35ECS80 is a long and slim package that delivers impressive torque capabilities at very high speeds, while the 35ECS60 enables high-speed capabilities at very low voltages. Thanks to its rugged design, the 35ECS can sustain peak torque during 2s up to 1.1Nm (35ECS60) and 2.0Nm (35ECS80).

Like the other members of the Portescap ECS line, the company optimized the 35ECS60 and 35ECS80 to sustain extremely demanding repetitive working cycles. The two-pole brushless motors provide high continuous and peak speeds at low voltage while maintaining smooth operation and long life.

The 35ECS motors can be adapted in most applications, including industrial applications. Portescap says that the motors enhance the life and reliability of a device without compromising on power and machine throughput and energy savings.

A laser welded front flange ensures the strongest housing to sustain high torque reaction. A temperature probe on the coil head assures an optimized control of motor performances in heavy duty applications. Portescap offers these motors with hall sensors and a total of 6 different coils to match speed and voltage requirements.

The 35mm diameter, and 80mm length, 35ECS80 Ultra EC provides up to 193mNm of Torque and has a maximum mechanical power of 330W. The 35mm diameter, and 60mm length, 35ECS60 has a maximum mechanical power of 262W and a maximum torque of 120mNm.
