30W Encapsulated PCB-Mount AC-DC Power

Mean Well Enterprise Co. Ltd. has unveiled the new 30W IRM-30 series of PCB-mount ac-dc power supplies. The compact dimensions of 69.5 x 39 x 24 mm helps system designers solve the tough issue of PCB space limitation. These power supplies are also available with screw terminals that increase the overall dimensions to 91 x 39.5 x 28.5 mm. The no-load power consumption (<0.1W) of the IRM-30 allows the system to meet the low power consumption requirement regulated by worldwide energy efficiency norms.

IRM-30 series accepts universal ac input of 85- to 264-Vac input and provides 5 models with different single output voltage of 5-, 12-, 15-, 24-, and 48-Vdc. The entire series is a Class II design (no FG), incorporating the built-in EMI filter components, enabling the compliance with EN55022 Class B. The efficiency is up to 90%. These ac-dc power supplies are specified for operation from -30 to +70 degrees C under free air convection. This series exploits the 94V-0 flame retardant plastic enclosure and the interior is filled with heat conductive silicone, which enhances the heat dissipation ability, fulfills 5G anti-vibration demand, and possesses the fundamental resistance to dust and moisture.

Protection functions incluide short circuit protection, overload protection, and over voltage protection. This series is also approved by various regulations such as UL, CUL, TUV, CB, and CE, assuring the safety for usage. In addition to the standard model in module form factor, IRM-30 also offers the terminal block type as optional models (IRM-30-ST). Suitable applications include industrial electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, factory automation equipment, and hand-held electronic devices.
