120W Industrial Open-Frame AC-DCs

Mean Well has expanded its offering of industrial open-frame ac-dc power supplies by adding the 120W EPS-120 series with 4" x 2" footprint. This product features the miniature size, ultra-low no load power consumption (<0.3W) and less-than-1U low-profile design (29mm high). It is well-suited for those low-cost applications installed inside the system cabinets without the need of the power enclosures. Suitable applications include industrial electric equipment, electro-mechanical instruments, factory automation systems, electronic devices which demand low no load power consumption, etc.

The EPS-120 operates with a universal input of 80- to 264-Vac and meets the EMI Class B standards for both Class I (with FG) and Class II (no FG) configuration. Conversion efficiency is up to 91% and these industrial power supplies have a working temperature range of -30 to +77 degrees C. They deliver the full-rated power of 120W with 10CFM of airflow and are rated for 84W under convection cooling. With either fan-cooling or convection-cooling, these power supplies deliver full rated power up to 50 degrees C and derate linearly to 40W at 70 degrees C.

These ac-dc power supplies have several protection functions including; short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature. They include a 12Vdc/0.5A auxiliary output and are approved to UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE. Dimensions are (L x W x H) 101.6 x 50.8 x 29mm and these units include an LED indicator for power on.
