Voller Energy Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Voller Energy PLC announced the appointment of Dr Robin Francis as Chief Technology Officer, with immediate effect. Robin has been a senior consultant in Scientific Generics Limited's Energy, Chemicals & Materials practice since 2003 and brings a wealth of chemical and technological experience to Voller.

Robin joined Scientific Generics, a leading consulting and development organisation in 2001. As a technology and business consultant, Robin provided strategic advice to many blue chip and multinational companies, including advising boards of directors on technology strategy. His work within the energy sector included the identification of technologies available for the production of hydrogen from diesel, and the production of alternative materials for batteries and solid oxide fuel cells.

After a degree in chemistry and a PhD from Oxford University in inorganic chemistry, Robin joined the Material Research Centre at the University of Houston in 1998. An expert in solid-state chemistry and with significant energy-sector knowledge, he has broad experience of very different industries and their commercial applications.
