Vicor Corp. (Andover, MA) announced the launch of its Technical Library as a component of the Vicor website. Vicor’s library offers power engineers the basics of designing with component power modules, novel approaches to EN compliance, and information about the differences between Intermediate Bus Architecture and Factorized Power Architecture. The library is accessible via Vicor’s website.
Initial offerings in the Vicor library include the video seminar, "Designing with Component Power Modules"; electrical, mechanical and thermal design; control, mounting, EMI and paralleling considerations; module do’s and don’ts; and application examples. Users have the option of searching by specific topic through an interactive table of contents and can quickly access supporting technical documentation, such as data sheets, video demonstrations and technical articles. Also available are web casts on EN compliance and power supply design considerations for high di/dt loads. All information in the library is available for download.
