United SiC Collaborates with EDOM Technology and Macnica Inc. to Expand Product Offerings
United SiC enter into two distribution agreements, one with EDOM Technology, and another with Macnica to expand its business across asian markets.
With profound knowledge of and expertise in silicon carbide (SiC) technologies, United SiC looks to lead the way in providing more energy-efficient technologies to create a sustainable electrified energy ecosystem for future generations. Recently, United SiC announced that it entered into a distribution agreement with EDOM Technology Co., Ltd. In August United SiC announced its entry into another distribution agreement with major Japanese semiconductor product distributor Macnica, Inc.

EDOM Technology
EDOM is invested in the research, development, manufacture, and sales of semiconductor components. The Company's product offerings include memories, integrated circuits (ICs), central processing units (CPUs), electronic components, and more. It is through their collaboration, that EDOM will help United SiC distribute its products throughout Asia, widening the company’s exposure and ensuring business growth. United SiC hopes to provide its new customer base with solutions suited for high-growth applications including battery charging, electric vehicles, IT infrastructure, circuit protection, and renewable energy.

In the same news release Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at UnitedSiC, Yalcin Bulut provided his view on the strength of the collaboration with EDOM: “The Asian markets are quick to adopt new technologies that enable new product differentiation. EDOM’s technical expertise and best-in-class service, together with UnitedSiC’s highly-efficient, industry-best SiC FETs deliver a strong synergistic solution to power designers in the region.”

Macnica
In unison with United SiC's goal for wider distribution of its technology, its agreement with Macnica is hoped to broaden its customer base.
“This partnership focuses on selling and supporting the UnitedSiC product line to a wider group of Japanese power designers by leveraging Macnica’s highly regarded technical design-in expertise. This agreement will assure our customers will receive the best support as we grow our business in Japan”, said Bulut in a news release published in August.
In the same news release, president of Altima Company, a division company of Macnica, Yusuke Kobayashi spoke of the enthusiasm Macnica has toward the act of supporting and helping to sell products of United SiC. The company believes that United SiC have what it takes to help Japanese customers including power engineers get a hold of value-added solutions in the form of its innovative products.
