Ultralife Receives UK Military Order for Batteries

Ultralife Batteries Inc. (Newark, NY) announced the receipt of its first order for its BA-5390/U lithium-manganese dioxide (Li/MnO2) primary (non-rechargeable) battery from the UK Ministry of Defense. Initial shipments of batteries have already commenced, and deliveries against the order, valued at $154,000, will be completed in March 2002.

John Kavazanjian, Ultralife president and CEO, said, "We have a long-standing history of supplying high-reliability lithium batteries to the UK Ministry of Defense, and are extremely pleased that we are now delivering our BA-5390/U battery to meet their requirements. We are also looking forward to supplying this battery, which is the most widely used military battery, to armed forces in the US and around the world."
