September 20, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL) announced its acquisition of SL Waber Inc. (Mt. Laurel, NJ). Tripp Lite acquired SL Waber from SL Industries Inc. Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL), and will continue to market SL Waber products, including power strips, surge suppressors, line conditioners and UPS systems, under the SL Waber brand.

"The acquisition of SL Waber adds additional breadth to Tripp Lite's already substantial line of surge suppressors and power strips," said Keelin Wyman, Tripp Lite executive vice president. "Additionally, SL Waber's success in the OEM power distribution market creates many new opportunities for Tripp Lite. As the manufacturer of the Isobar, the world's best-selling premium surge suppressor with over 15 million in use worldwide, this acquisition will bring both financial stability and increased manufacturing capacity to the Waber customer."
