sonnen claims the World’s Cheapest Electric Vehicle

March 31, 2016 by Jeff Shepard

sonnen is now entering into the personal electric transportation market. The German flagship company aims to take over a sizable piece of the electric vehicle pie under the slogan "power to the streets" with a special focus on the US market. The wirelessly-controlled electric skateboard drive was developed in partnership with Mellow and is being announced on April First.

"We worked hard with Mellow to bring the most affordable electric vehicle worldwide to the streets by the end of this quarter" said sonnen GmbH CEO Christoph Ostermann.

Also sonnen's Managing Director and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Philipp Schroeder, is very enthusiastic about the new product: "35,000 USD for an electric vehicle is too expensive. Our pioneering pure electric personal transport vehicle is 90% cheaper and thus affordable for almost everyone. "

The revolutionary product has already passed all required national and international safety tests with flying colors and aims to totally abolish pedestrians in the near future, freeing sidewalk space in our notoriously congested cities. "Nobody likes traffic caused by pedestrians. It is a widespread global issue as pedestrians are always in the way, standing and walking around our city centers, sometimes even sitting" summarizes sonnen board member Schroeder.

Internationally renowned city planners have already reviewed the world's most affordable electric vehicle under tight security in an exclusive "Preview" and praise the project, especially in view of the global issue of notoriously congested megacities. "This product truly has the potential to electrify all pedestrians in city centers creating more space for asphalt, sidewalk ramps, brick walls and even huge tunnels," predicts a Stanford professor who declined to be named for good reason.
