Schaffner's NSG 5200 Meets EMC Standards

November 27, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Schaffner EMC Inc. (Edison, NJ) introduced the NSG 5200 test system to meet new electromagnetic compliance (EMC) immunity test standards in the auto industry for supply voltage variations, conducted sine waves and power magnetics. The tests are applied to radios, sunroof controllers, antenna drives, headlight systems and other automotive electronic systems, including those with 42V supplies.

Modular in design, the NSG 5200 can be assembled and purchased to perform all the tests or just those required for the particular application. The NSG 5200 can function as a stand-alone unit, or it can be combined with Schaffner’s NSG 5000 pulsed-immunity test generator to provide a comprehensive test system.

Pricing for the NSG 5200 begins at $8900. Delivery is four to eight weeks ARO.
