Sanyo Energy Launches New Online Battery Database

July 25, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Sanyo Energy USA Corp. (San Diego, CA) has launched a new database on its website designed to give engineers the ability to find a suitable battery solution more quickly. Customers are now able to search the industrial battery specifications section using their own parameters. Sanyo now offers simultaneous selection by chemistry, capacity and size.

The new system uses pull-down menus for selection. The results show all appropriate models and specifications. For further details, the chosen model opens a printable Adobe Acrobat file that has cell illustrations, specifications and curves.

"Our customers told us what they wanted, and we created a dynamic solution," said Mary Koral of Sanyo's marketing communications administration. "By making it dynamic, we can go in and update it at a moment's notice."
