Planet Polymer Technologies Enters Agreement with Stimsonite Corp.

Planet Polymer Technologies Inc. (San Diego, CA) announced that it has entered into a joint-development agreement with Stimsonite Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Avery Dennison Corp. (Pasadena, CA). The two companies plan to develop feedstock materials and fabrication techniques to produce porous conductive electrodes. These electrodes will be used in electrochemical cell applications such as fuel cells, battery systems, and related power and cogeneration techniques.

Under the terms of the agreement, Planet Polymer will provide polymer binder technology, compounding and feedstock expertise, production development, metals/polymer processing equipment, and manufacturing time. The core intellectual property is covered under various patents developed and held by Planet Polymer.
