Mouser To Stock Phihong’s CEC-Compliant, Universal 3-Wire Input Adapters

November 19, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Mouser Electronics, Inc. announced it is stocking Phihong’s CEC-compliant, 3-wire input switching adapter that supplies 20-30W to a single output voltage.

The PSC30U series is a universal power supply that is said to provide high efficiency in a low-profile design to portable equipment, peripherals, networking systems, and gaming machines. Available in 5, 12, 24, and 48V outputs, the adapter is equipped with auto-restart for over-current protection, allowing the output to be shorted without damage and providing short circuit protection.

The adapter has a no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W and is housed in a non-vented case. The device measures 3.88 x 2.17" and weighs 8.82 ounces. In addition to meeting California Energy Commission requirements, the adapter is approved and listed by cULus, CE, C-Tick, SAA, TUV EN60950-1, and meets Cal. Prop. 65.

"Both the design engineering community and our suppliers rely on Mouser to supply the newest products available to the marketplace," according to Barry McConnell, Mouser Vice President of Product Marketing. "By stocking new products like these from Phihong, Mouser is able to fulfill its commitment to both suppliers and design engineers alike."
