Moltech Corp. (Tucson, AZ) announced that it will begin doing business as Sion Power Corp., effective immediately. The name change emphasizes the company’s objective of incorporating the power of sulfur-ions into rechargeable lithium batteries for mobile electronic markets.
President and CEO Frank Shinneman stated, "Accordingly, we chose to combine the letter ‘S’ - the chemical symbol for sulfur – with the words ‘ion’ and ‘power’ into a new name that helps to better communicate our company’s primary focus."
