Medis Technologies Files Three New Patents
Medis Technologies Ltd. (New York) reported that it has filed three new patents with the US Patent Office. The first patent is for a system of independent orientation, describing a proprietary system that enables its fuel cell products to operate in any orientation - up, down or sideways. The second patent covers further improvements in the proprietary fuel used in the Medis fuel cells.
The third patent covers new improvements in the cartridge system used to deliver fuel to the fuel cell. Medis has previously filed a patent for the cartridge system designed for its fuel cell products and this patent reflects further improvements in that cartridge system.
"As we continue to improve the performance of our fuel cell components and the fuel cell products, our strategy is to file for new patents reflecting that improvement," said Medis Technologies Chairman and CEO Robert Lifton. "We continue to make progress towards our aim of having our Power Pack products capable of charging cell phones, digital cameras, MP3s and other portable electronic devices in the distribution channels by the end of this year."
