August 08, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Lee Technologies and APC-MGE announced the formation of an industry alliance designed to serve the growing data center market. Lee Technologies will provide APC-MGE products and systems as part of its core offering, expanding the breadth and scope of Lee Technologies’ data center offerings.

As a reseller of APC-MGE products, Lee Technologies claims that it can now provide its customers across the United States with APC’s InfraStruXure® architecture for data centers that includes APC’s InRow™ cooling solutions. InfraStruXure integrates power, cooling and systems management software in a rack-optimized design.

"We recognize that Lee Technologies’ capabilities represent a compelling value proposition to the evolving data center market nationwide, and we are proud to have them as part of our expanding team," said Rob Johnson, President, APC-MGE North America. "This alliance now gives Lee Technologies’ customers easy access to APC’s innovative data center and 3-phase power protection systems, the most comprehensive solutions available in the market today."

In February of 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and merged them with Schneider’s existing MGE UPS Systems business. APC is claimed to be an industry leader in distributed data centers, as well as the leading innovator in cooling solutions for high-density environments, modular power designs for large data centers, and management applications. MGE is said to be an established leader in the large 3-phase UPS market.

"We view the APC-MGE merger as a powerful combination for data center customers and as a significant opportunity for Lee Technologies. As a reseller throughout the United States with more than 20 years experience in mission-critical infrastructure solutions, we will continue to deliver the most robust products and services to our expanding clientele as well as empower them to focus on their core business objectives knowing their technology is working 24/7/365. This industry alliance with APC-MGE positions our company for a strong future, by fully leveraging our broad range of capabilities and expanding our quality product offering," said John C. Lee, IV, Chairman and CEO of Lee Technologies.
