United Technologies Corp. (Hartford, CT) announced that Jan van Dokkum, recently the president and CEO of Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution, will join the company as president of UTC Power. In his new position, van Dokkum succeeds Geraud Darnis and will report to UTC Chairman and CEO George David.
"UTC Power is the technology leader and is positioned to take advantage of the developing desire to improve energy efficiency by combining heat and power as well as energy reliability," van Dokkum commented. "UTC Power will be the supplier of choice for automotive fuel cell technology, distributed generation and assured power solutions."
