Intel Begins 300mm Production at Ireland Facility

Intel Corp. (Santa Clara, CA) reported that its newest high-volume fab, Fab 24, has commenced production at 300 mm. The $2 billion facility is the company's fourth 300 mm manufacturing facility and is Intel's third fab to manufacture semiconductors at 90 nm.
