Integration Associates Takes Over Vishay Business

October 06, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Integration Associates Inc. (Mountain View, CA), a fabless semiconductor company offering analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for wireless and wireline communications, announced that it will begin selling a silicon data access arrangement (DAA) chipset formerly sold by Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA). The silicon DAA chipset is known as the "Infineon DAA 2000" from Infineon Technologies AG (Munich, Germany).

Integration Associates developed the silicon DAA chipset for low-speed and high-speed modems. Infineon was purchasing the chipset from Integration Associates and reselling it under the Infineon DAA 2000 brand name. Last year, Infineon sold the DAA product line to Vishay. Recently, Vishay elected to exit the market segment and offered Integration Associates the opportunity to market the DAA 2000 chipset on the open market. The DAA 2000 will be marketed by Integration Associates as the IA3213 chipset.

The IA3213 chipset is available in two standard 24-pin TSSOP packages and requires the use of one dual or two linear opto-couplers. Sample units and evaluation boards are available.
