House of Batteries (Huntington Beach, CA) announced the purchase of a new 36,000 ft² facility in Fountain Valley, CA, that quadruples the company's manufacturing capacity. Relocation is planned for March 2005. CEO Maggie West also announced that House of Batteries has received 1SO9001:2000 quality certification and has hired Craig Lorey, a quality assurance manager with 30-years' experience.

"Our goal is to become the preferred battery supplier to major OEMs that are using cutting-edge battery technology," stated West. "Quality is central to our growth plans. We spent four years on ISO9001:2000 certification. With the addition of Craig and the capacity of our new facility, our quality and manufacturing processes meet the specifications of the most demanding OEMs. We think that positions us for substantial growth over the next five years."
