Honeywell's ACS Unit Acquires Sensotec Assets

Honeywell International (Minneapolis, WI) announced that its Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) unit has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of privately held Sensotec Inc. (Columbus, OH), which is a supplier of sensors used extensively in test and measurement applications in the automotive, oil and gas, aviation, semiconductor, industrial and medical industries. The transaction is subject to government approval.

"Sensotec provides a strong fit with our existing portfolio of sensors businesses and strengthens our product offerings in the high-growth pressure-sensing segments," said Alan Wright, vice president and general manager of Honeywell's Sensing and Control group. "With Sensotec's complementary products and technologies, Honeywell will be able to accelerate the introduction of high-value products and solutions based on advanced sensors with embedded intelligence and communications capability."
