HERA Hydrogen Storage Systems Inc. (HERA, Longueuil, Québec) has been granted research funding of CDN $200,000 from each of the Quebec and Federal governments, for a total of CDN $400,000. The funding will finance part of a two-year project towards the development of new metal hydrides for hydrogen storage, under the leadership of Dr. Alicja Zaluska.
The subsidy obtained from Quebec's Ministry of Natural Resources is to be paid through the Programme d’aide au développement des technologies de l’énergie. The federal funding was obtained via the Department of Natural Resources' Transportation Energy Technologies Program.
