January 09, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Galaxy Power Inc. (Westborough, MA), a manufacturer of micro-controlled power conversion products, announce its entry into the Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA). Formed in February 2004, DOSA's goal is to ensure the standardization and compatibility of future dc-dc converters.

Galaxy Power President Lou DeBartelo stated, "As an innovator and leader in the design of new high-performance dc-dc converter technology, it is important for Galaxy Power to be involved in the development of the roadmap for future devices. We feel that DOSA will provide an important service that will give engineers the freedom to base their design decisions solely on performance parameters, with the assurance that competitive and future devices will be consistent and compatible among manufacturers."
