Ford to Cut 35,000 Jobs Worldwide

Ford Motor Co. (Dearborn, MI) announced that it would cut 35,000 jobs worldwide, closing five plants and eliminating four vehicles. The job cuts include 22,000 in North America.

"We strayed from what got us to the top of the mountain, and it cost us greatly," stated William Clay Ford Jr. from company headquarters.
