Fairchild Strengthens Focus on Asia Pacific Region

Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME) announced the appointment of Eric Kuo to lead Fairchild's endeavors as president of Asia Pacific, with a specific focus on greater China. Kuo formerly served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific. Kuo is now responsible for defining and implementing the region's strategic business plan, while serving as the point person for Asia Pacific investments, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

Johnson Koo has been named to replace Kuo as vice president of sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific. Koo is responsible for driving, guiding and managing customer, distributor and other channel partner relationships. He is charged with championing current customer relationships while identifying new customer and partnership opportunities to continue the company's market growth in the region. Both Kuo and Koo will report to Hans Wildenberg, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
