Fairchild Selects Shihab Kuran for VP of Development

Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. (South Portland, ME) announced that Shihab Kuran has been selected to lead product development for the Analog Products Group (APG), reporting to Fairchild’s APG Senior Vice President Bob Conrad. Kuran will be responsible for setting the direction and development of new power products and managing the company’s strategic direction for highly integrated devices for APG.

"Dr. Kuran’s extensive education in circuit design and device modeling as well as his over 10 years’ experience with power management devices and business development make him ideal to lead Fairchild’s APG product development," said Conrad. "Fairchild is focused on the design and manufacturing of highly integrated products such as our recently announced µSerDes™ devices. I’m pleased to have a person of Kuran’s caliber helping to expand our new product development for APG."
