Baldor Unveils Motion Control Compendium

May 28, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Baldor Electric Co. (Fort Smith, AR) has published a new compendium for machine builders implementing precision motion control. With helpful notes, including guides to sizing servo and linear motors and specifying different drive arrangements, the free 366-page guide covers every component required for precision motion control.

From motion software and embedded system tools, through various forms of motion controllers and drives, to linear and rotary motors, the guide also includes details on the popular new style of "intelligent drives" that simplify systems building and support distributed architectures, as well as an in-depth look at programming using Mint motion software with its library of keywords for movement tasks.
