Artesyn Technologies Inc. (Boca Raton, FL) announced that Staff Engineer Robert White has received the 2002 Distinguished Service Award from the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS). The award is to honor long and distinguished service to the welfare of PELS at an exceptional level of dedication and achievement. White is with Artesyn's Worldwide Technology Development Group in Westminster, CO, and is responsible for supporting strategic marketing with the definition and specification of new products for future power system architectures.
White has worked for Artesyn in a number of senior managerial roles for nearly five years. He is widely recognized as an expert on distributed power systems. White has also actively supported the IEEE PELS for the past 15 years. He is well known for his key role in developing and supporting Applied Power Electronics Conferences (APECs).
