Anderson Power Products® Announces RoHS Compliance Information

September 11, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Anderson Power Products® (APP) announced the availability of RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) information via their website. Customers can now determine the RoHS status for APP products through a part number search system.

Beginning in July 2006, the RoHS directive from the European Union restricts the use of six substances in electrical and electronic equipment. APP has taken steps to meet the RoHS directive for virtually all of their products, and stated that the company believes that general compliance with the RoHS directive is not enough and that the RoHS status for individual APP products must be readily accessible to customers twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The APP website search system allows customers to enter a part number and determine a product's compliance status to the RoHS directive. With a simple click on the RoHS icon on the home page the user will be walked through a brief series of steps to acquire RoHS status information. RoHS Certificates of Compliance for individual part numbers may be obtained by contacting APP's customer service department.
