Akros Silicon to Present on Energy Management at Darnell’s Energy Summit

September 16, 2014 by Jeff Shepard

Akros Silicon Inc. announces its participation in Darnell's Energy Summit with a presentation titled: "High-Speed Digital Isolation Technology Enabling Real-Time Monitoring of Networked Power Systems," by Faisal Ahmad, Akros Silicon's VP of Marketing. As demands for energy savings grows with PoE (Power over Ethernet) power levels pushing to 30W-90W per individual node, the network power management landscape is changing to allow higher-powered devices to be controlled from the network switch.

Digital power control provides the opportunity to go far beyond the full-load efficiencies of individual power supplies by actively managing, in real time, the power consumed at each node in a system. Ahmad’s presentation will describe the implementation of high-speed, digital isolation as an enabler for system-level power management.

Faisal Ahmad’s presentation (6.3) is scheduled during the 2:00-5:00 p.m. sessions on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2014, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia. The Akros session will consist of a PowerPoint presentation followed by a question/answer period.
