October 29, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

IEC Electronics Corp. (Newark, NY) announced that it has been named a prime supplier of electronic assemblies by Acumentrics Corp. (Westwood, MA). Acumentrics recently signed a long-term agreement with IEC, who has been providing prototype and volume production services for Acumentrics' ruggedized UPS systems for the past two years. New orders will not only include components of Acumentrics' ruggedized power systems but also critical electronic assemblies for their solid-oxide fuel-cell-based power systems.

IEC President and CEO Thomas Lovelock said, “I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship that will grow as the potential markets for Acumentrics' innovative power protection and energy products increases."

Acumentrics Vice President of Operations Mark Michalski said, “We are pleased to be partnering with IEC. By relying on their state-of-the-art prototype and volume production services, Acumentrics will be poised to meet the market's explosive demand for our new power-quality products."
