Acumentrics Corp. Announces the Addition of Eight New Fuel Cell Scientists to the Company

Acumentrics Corp. (Westwood, MA) has announced that Nigel Sammes, Ph.D., and seven solid oxide fuel cell scientists and engineers from the University of Waikato in New Zealand have joined the company. Dr. Sammes and his team's research began nine years ago and has yielded a unique and proprietary small tubular fuel cell design that circumvents roadblocks to the commercialization of the better known planar solid oxide systems. Sammes will serve as Acumentrics director of fuel cell development.Acumentrics has also exclusively purchased all patent rights to technology developed by the University of Waikato, formerly sponsored by Fletcher Challenge Energy Power Generation Ltd. (New Zealand), in the field of SOFCs.
