April 06, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

XPiQ Inc. (Holliston, MA) introduced the new RTC Series of PICMG-compliant, hot-swap/redundant, compact PCI, switching power supplies. Designed for a variety of applications, the four output switchers are offered in 150W, 200W and 400W power ranges. All models are available with 48Vdc input or universal ac input with power-factor correction to meet EN61000-3-2 requirements. The RTC Series feature no minimum load requirements and high efficiency for reduced heat and improved reliability.

The new RTC Series offer input transient protection; inrush current limiting; output over-current and over-voltage protection with ac-good, dc-good, remote-sense, single-wire parallel and remote on/off control functions. Each power supply conforms to the 3U/8HP or 6U/8HP standards as defined by IEEE. All models are approved to UL1950, CSA950/234 and EN60950 and meet EN55022 Level A emission standards.

The 150W units are priced at $198, the 200W units are priced at $212 and the 400W version is priced at $421, all for 1,000-piece quantities. All models are stocked at the factory to allow immediate delivery of prototypes. Standard production lead time is eight weeks ARO.
