New Products Mar 11, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Voltage Multipliers Inc. (VMI, Visalia CA) announced the launch of its new CRS, HVP,LP6, XRS Series of high-voltage power supplies. The first products include four distinct power supplies, each designed for specific applications where higher voltage requirements and high reliability are required.

The CRS Series, used in CRT applications, features an anode voltage range of 8kV to 12kV, and an adjustable G2 voltage of up to 400V. The CRS Series is pc board mountable, rugged and lightweight. The series features excellent voltage regulation and low ripple. Arc and short-circuit protection are standard features.

The HVP Series, a 250W, 125kV fully adjustable power supply, offers built-in EMI filtering, safety interlocks, over-voltage, over-current arc and short-circuit protection, and constant-voltage/constant-current operation. Other standard features include programmable voltage and current, and voltage and current monitoring.

The LP6 Series, an industry-standard HeNe laser power supply, features low ripple voltage for precision applications. The LP6 Series generates 8.5kVdc from a 15Vdc input.

The XRS Series, used in portable X-ray applications, provides up to 8W of output power at –40kV. The outputs are fully adjustable over the operating range of -10 to +60 degrees C. Voltage and current can be programmed and monitored. The XRS is rugged and lightweight with load and line regulation.
