Vicor Announces New ENMods Solution

April 16, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Vicor Corp. (Andover, MA) announced its new ENMods solution for compliance to EN harmonic current and EMI standards, which comprises a passive, harmonic, current-attenuation module (the MiniHAM) and an auto-ranging, ac/dc, front-end module (the FARM3).

The MiniHAM is designed for EN compliance and generates no EMI, greatly simplifying and reducing system noise filtering requirements. It is small, efficient, improves MTBF by an order of magnitude, operates on the dc bus provided by an auto-ranging ac front-end and provides harmonic current compliance at up to 600W of input power.

The 115Vac to 230Vac input FARM3 is a new member of Vicor's filter and auto-ranging module product line that has been optimized for use as the ac/dc front-end for the MiniHAM. Both modules are in Vicor's standard mini half-brick package.

Single-piece pricing for the pair of modules (the MiniHAM and the FARM3) is less than $90. Delivery is from six to eight weeks.
