UNIPOWER Unveils TPCM3000 Front-End Supply

January 07, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

UNIPOWER Corp. (Coral Springs, FL) announced its new TPCM3000 front-end supply, which is specifically designed to power 12V intermediate bus architecture systems. Maximum output current is 54.2A, giving a total of 650W of power. The TPCM3000 is a version of UNIPOWER’s popular PowerCassette® Series front ends. A 12V intermediate bus in a distributed power system allows economical use of non-isolated voltage regulator modules/point of load converters, which produce the required voltage for each load.

The TPCM3000 is packaged in a hot-swappable, compact 1.6in x 5in x x 10in package. The supply features universal 85Vac to 264Vac input with power factor correction, Class B EMI input filter, LED status indicators, self-cooling by fans, an isolated 5V/250mA standby output, active current sharing provision, output OR-ing diodes and no minimum load requirement. Control and monitoring features include enable and inhibit inputs, ac power fail and dc power good outputs, over-temperature warning output and current monitor output. Protection features include overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protection.

Delivery is stock to six weeks and pricing is $390 in OEM quantities.
