Ultralife Batteries Debuts UBP543048/563450 Batteries

Ultralife Batteries Inc. (Newark, NY) introduced its new UBP543048 and UBP563450 lithium-ion batteries, which feature a minimum cycle life of 500 and are geared for wireless and portable electronic products such as mobile phones and PDAs. The UBP543048 has a rated capacity of 700mAh and measures 48mm x 30mm x 5.4mm, while weighing 16.5g. The UBP563450 is rated at 920mAh, measures 50mm x 34mm x 5.6mm and weighs 24g.

Both battery models have an operating voltage range of 3V to 4.4V and conform to the UL 1642 safety standard. The lithium-ion batteries can be operated and stored at a temperature range of -20 to +60 degrees C. The batteries are part of the Prismatic lithium-ion product line. In addition to the Prismatic line, Ultralife will also be offering Ultralife Taiwan's polymer cells to complement its own polymer product line. The 3.8mm thick UBC385070 is rated at 1.05Ah and weighs 25g. It will also be targeted for portable devices such as PDAs.
