Tyco Electronics Extends flowPHASE 0 Power Module Family

June 07, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc. (Dallas, TX) extended its family of high-power modules in the flow 0 package. With the expansion, the family now consists of eight half-bridge modules ranging from 75 A to 200 A at 600 V and 50 A to 150 A at 1,200 V. The extension of the flowPHASE 0 family enables motor inverter manufacturers to design a complete series using the same type of power module and PCB design for the power circuit.

The flowPHASE 0 modules provide half-bridge configuration; a full power range in 1,200 V and 600 V (50 A/75 A/100 A/150 A to 1,200 V and 75 A/100 A/150 A/200 A to 600 V); low-loss trench IGBT technology; maximum power density; AlN substrate for reduced thermal resistance and increased power capability (higher-current versions only); easy paralleling for higher-power inverter designs; a low inductive design; power flow through for simple PCB routing; and reliable interconnection between PCB, the module and the heatsink.
